New in Outdoors Equipment
Frye, Bob, Tribune-Review/Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
In recent years, calling deer, and especially calling bucks during archery season, has been growing in popularity, in Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Along the way, Hunter's Specialties "True Talker Deer Call" has been a popular call on the market. New this year, though, are improvements. The enhanced version, called the "Super Talker," retains all the features of the original call, like the flexible fingering membrane, which allows hunters to reproduce deer sounds from the smallest fawn to the biggest buck. Now, though, it also features increased volume and enhanced guttural and distinct clicking sounds. The durable rubber exterior, which keeps the call from making unwanted noise, is now available in a camo finish, too. It comes with a wrist lanyard to attach it to your arm, making it easy to manipulate. Suggested retail price is $14.99. For information: write Hunter's Specialties, 6000 Huntington Court NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402; call 319-395-0321; or visit www.hunterspec.com.
