Spilman Thomas & Battle, PLLC named Ron Schuler as member in charge of its Pittsburgh office. Mr. Schuler replaces David L. Robertson who will remain with the firm and return to his law practice full-time. Mr. Schuler is a corporate, securities and commercial transactions lawyer with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private placement financings in the energy, software, biotechnology and telecommunications industries. He received his bachelor's degree, cum laude, from Pomona College and his law degree from Cornell Law School.

Ms. Northrop Queen is an intellectual property attorney with a background in physics, and a particular focus in medical device and consumer product technologies. She has a bachelor of science degree in physics from Colgate University and a J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a member of the mechanical, design, and trademark and copyright teams.

Mr. Wolski is an intellectual property attorney who handles a wide range of intellectual property matters with a particular focus on intellectual property litigation, and patent prosecution in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device sectors. Attorney Patricia Rodella announced the formation of her independent practice, Rodella Law. Located at 2006 East Carson St., the firm specializes in commercial real estate.

The firm handles many aspects of commercial real estate law including commercial leasing, ground leases, asset acquisitions and sales, commercial property development and construction contracts. Additionally, Ms. Rodella has a concentration in construction project documentation.
