SACHIN TENDULKAR has been given a suspended one-match ban after being found guilty of ball-tampering, according to reports.
The record-breaking Indian batsman appeared before the match referee, Mike Denness, yesterday to discuss Sunday's incident during South Africa's second innings here.
The South African Press Association reported that Denness found Tendulkar guilty after viewing video tapes of the incident. The sentence is suspended until the end of the year. He has also been fined 75 per cent of his match fee.
Denness also reportedly disciplined five other India players, including Sourav Ganguly, their captain. Ganguly received a suspended sentence ā¦
