State Chamber Sends Alert on Permit, License Jumps

The Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce and Industry claims some state agencies are trying to "side-step" budget cuts by requesting the Oklahoma Legislature increase fees for licenses, permits and other functions.
The state chamber is sending out an "action alert" to its members about proposed fee increases in its latest newsletter which is to be mailed out today.
Ronn Kupp, lobbyist for the chamber, said late Thursday an estimate has not been made of the total cost of all the proposed fee increases but the chamber is in the process of making an estimate.
