Better Homes and Gardens Displays New System of Merchandising Homes

and Gardens Home Merchandising System was introduced at the 1989 National Convention in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Better Homes and Gardens celebrated the start of its second decade in the residential real estate industry at the convention.

The home merchandising system is "a customer service-oriented system designed to help homeowners make their homes more attractive to buyers so that those homes can be marketed at optimum value," said Pam Kenyon of the Better Homes and Gardens Home Information System in Des Moines, Iowa.

"For Better Homes and Gardens member firms," Kenyon said, "the home merchandising system underscores the network's long-term commitment to expand its customer service by providing home sellers and buyers direct access to the home decorating, remodeling, gardening and building ideas established under the Better Homes and Gardens name."

Allen Sabbag, president of the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Service, said: "The Home Merchandising System represents our effort to bring consumers two important resources as they seek to make their homes more appealing to buyers in their market - the Better Homes and Gardens knowledge of the American home combined with the real estate expertise offered by our local Better Homes and Gardens members and sales associates."

According to Sabbag, the home merchandising system will offer consumers information on kitchens, baths, lawns, gardens, interiors, and exteriors of homes they may buy.
