Construction Contracts Total $742 Million for '90

The value of construction contracts in central Oklahoma in 1990 was $742 million, up 1 percent from $734 million in 1989, according to the F.W. Dodge Local Construction Potentials Bulletin.
It was the highest yearly total since $825 million in construction contracts was reported in 1986.
Across Oklahoma, construction contracts topped $2 billion for the first time since 1987. The statewide total was $2.1 billion in 1990, up 10 percent from $1.9 billion in 1989.
In December, construction contracts in central Oklahoma totaled $50.96 million, up 32 percent compared to $38.5 million in December 1989.
