Smith's Farm Garden Wins Award


For the second consecutive year, Smith's Farm Garden has been named Garden Way's top dollar volume dealer in the U.S. for Troy-Bilt and Bolens equipment. A plaque was presented to company officials during the National Dealer Meeting in Las Vegas. Smith's Farm Garden has a store in Oklahoma City at 3733 NW 10th St., in Tulsa and in Lewisville, Texas. Beautyco to Open Muskogee Store

Beautyco Beauty Supply will open its newest store by the end of March in Muskogee. It will be the Oklahoma City-based company's 29th location. Beautyco stores offer a selection of over 6,000 professional health and beauty products. Duo Receive Award of Excellence

Two people involved in "Taxwi$e '93," a community service television program designed to assist viewers with tax questions, received the Award of Excellence from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Tamorah Wright, communications director of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Forrest Olson, an Edmond certified public accountant, received the award. Olson, managing partner of Olson Potter, was chairman for the 1993 show. Wright has been communications director for the state society for about two years.

"Taxwi$e" is produced annually to update viewers on changes in tax law. The live call-in program will air March 30 from 8-9 p.m. on the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority, Channel 13. It will feature a panel of certified public accountants who will answer questions from a studio audience. About 30 others will answer questions from viewers who call in from 8-9:30 p.m. Seminar on Commercial Real Estate Thursday

The Oklahoma Certified Commercial Investment Member Chapter has scheduled a seminar on using technology in commercial real estate. The seminar is planned Thursday at Sportsman's Country Club, 4001 NW 39th St., from 8:30 a.m.-noon. It is scheduled in Tulsa on Friday at the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors.

Phillip McBride is the scheduled speaker for the workshop which will focus on new techniques in investment analysis, presentation tools to generate more business, contact management to increase productivity, publishing software for marketing fliers and lease analysis reports for more leasing business. Cost for members is $25 and for nonmembers is $35. Reynolds Reports on State Recycling Efforts

Oklahomans recycled more than 6.6 million pounds of aluminum with Reynolds Aluminum Recycling Co. in 1993, which contributed about $1.
