Could James Murdoch, chief executive of BSkyB, be getting ready to do a swap? Word late last week was that the broadcasting giant was exploring the possibility of exchanging its 17.9 per cent holding in rival ITV for a stake in Channel 5. When BSkyB bought the ITV shares, for about [pound]940m, the deal effectively blocked a possible tie-up with NTL, now known as Virgin Media.
