Program Coordinator

The Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis, Edwards, CO

The Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis is a non-profit organization that promotes health and hope for people and families living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) through unique educational programs. The programs aim to change the way people affected by MS live by promoting principles of exercise, nutrition, and mental well-being to successfully cope with this chronic disease.

Anna assists with the planning and implementation of the CAN DO and CAN DO 2 Programs. Her duties include processing applications, answering questions from potential, future and past program participants, as well as organizing program equipment and supplies. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the alumni association and maintaining the participant database.

The work of her position is centered directly on serving individuals and families affected by MS. For this reason, it strongly relates to the focus of family and consumer sciences (FCS). On a daily basis, Anna finds herself incorporating the FCS theme of enhancing quality of life through an interdisciplinary approach.
