Fliers are something of a regional hazard in the centre of any busy town or city. In Dublin, one finds them nesting in the greatest numbers in Temple Bar: cafes, galleries, museums, and shops; always threatening to spill out over window ledges and displayeases, smothering the hapless public in an avalanche of invites to new plays, gallery openings, gigs, art installations, new movies, old movies, performance art performances (say it out loud, it'll make more sense that way), book launches, photography exhibitions, poetry readings...
... Can you blame people for ignoring them? I mean, you'll pick something up if it looks striking enough and maybe stick it to your fridge, but only ā¦
