1 . Beatty uses research done with HR managers and employers to determine their resume preferences. I did not know anyone had done such research. 2. He gives a clear description of the resume-reading process from the employer's or recruiter's perspective. For example, he believes that cover letters are only read after the resume is reviewed and found to be of interest. 3. Beatty gives a clear explanation of a threepoint candidate screen process. I learned this when I was a recruiter, but believe that it would be new information to most job seekers. 4. Beatty said the survey showed that 89 per cent of employers preferred to see an Objective statement. I was very surprised to read that. 5. Beatty has written descriptions of his Top 20 Internet Career sites. I learned a lot from the descriptions about the differences between the different sites.
