Introduction
This paper takes a personal and reflective perspective on the challenges of finding and developing teaching materials for a new undergraduate programme in Entertainment Management. While detailing specific issues and proposing certain solutions related to entertainment as an academic discipline, it is envisaged that the paper will be of interest to any lecturers tasked with finding teaching materials for modules in a relatively new subject area.
The challenge
I took up my current post at Leeds Met in the last week of June 2008, just as the summer exam boards were finishing. By this point, I had already started researching teaching materials for the two ā¦
