Summer's fading fast, but there's still time to add to this season's wardrobe

Before you know it, it will be time to pack up the sundresses, stow the sandals and say adios to the swimsuit. You can already feel the chill in the air at night, forcing us fashionistas to shroud our bare shoulders with pashminas and cardigans.

But before we get into the latest styles and trends for fall, there are still more than a handful of sunny days to be had and that means a few more chances to shore up your summer wardrobe with an item or two from one of these fabulous local designers.

Voil by Andreanne -- A veteran on the local designer scene, Andreanne Dandeneau's collections are best described as casual meets chic.

Her 2012 spring/summer collection includes signature Voil designs such as the Tessie Dress, which is made from bamboo jersey and printed with a northern willow screening, and new items like the Nova Shawl.

This versatile summer wrap can be worn six different ways, including belted as a top and off the shoulder for a romantic, whimsical look. And like the Tessie Dress, the Nova Shawl is adorned with a northern willow design.

Lennard Taylor -- With collections for men and women, this brand is the epitome of urban style with its sleek lines and cutting-edge designs.

While the fashions are a must for those looking for a little something that will set you apart from the crowd, this summer's Lennard Taylor must-have is the holster -- great for stowing your iPhone and bank card in fashionable manner while adding a style element to basic summer tee and shorts.
