Donna Ramsey It might be a conversation between two people or the way someone is sitting in a caf6 that gets Donna Ramsey's creative gears turning. "I like people caught in a moment," says the artist, who creates painterly, realistic portrayals of people such as women having tea or dressing for dinner before a full-length mirror. Once the seed of an idea is planted, she says, it takes on a life of its own. Working from both photographs and models, Ramsey creates her own scene, striving for solid form and realistic emotion and gesture. "It's important to me that it read right," she says.
