IN THEIR ARTICLE, THE AUTHORS COMPREHENSIVELY assess the history and development of library services to Latinos. They discuss the history, role, and impact of key professional associations, such as the American Library Association and REFORMA. They identify, analyze, and discuss the relevance of major studies, reports, and other publications, calling attention to the paucity that prevails in the professional literature that addresses this large and growing population.
