On the broader social front, fiscal constraints are likely to continue to lead to downsizing of institutions within the health care system. Resources for expansion and/or change of both educational programs and health care facilities will not be as easily forthcoming in the future as they have been in the past. Educational institutions will be forced to adjust their activities accordingly.
