Stephen Frank Overturf is Professor of Economics at Whittier College, located in Whittier, California. He was chairman of the Economics Department from 1982 until 1984, at which time he was appointed director of the Whittier Area Research Center. During 1981 he was resident director of the Whittier-in-Copenhagen Program taught at DIS through the auspices of the University of Copenhagen.
Dr. Overturf has researched and published widely in the areas of international trade and finance. His articles have appeared in Economic Inquiry and The Journal of International Money and Finance.
Dr. Overturf holds a B.A. in economics from Occidental College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from Rice University.
