Schuh claims Strauss saw it that day, although 'Barbier

2 Feb. Hofmannsthal in Berlin for premiére of his Oedipus und der
Sphinx at the Deutsches Theater. According to Günther
Erken, Strauss and Hofmannsthal met that day and
discussed the possibility of an Elektra opera. [Huesmann

7 Mar. Hofmannsthal wants to know whether Strauss is still
