Robert Guttmann is a professor of economics at Hofstra University and has in recent years also taught as a visiting professor at the Université Paris-Nord. He studied at the University of Vienna and the Free University of Berlin before receiving advanced degrees in economics at the University of Wisconsin and in London. Professor Guttmann has written widely on industrial policy and on issues in money and banking in a global setting, with publications in Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Britain, and the United States.
