THE PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS OF THE REWARD AND PUNISHMENT OF OFFICERS OF PRISONS AND DETENTION HOUSES
(APPROVED BY PRESIDENTIAL ORDER, DATED APRIL 2ND, 1919, UPON PETITION OF THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE)Article 1. Reward of officers of prisons and detention houses shall be made in conformity with the provisions of this article unless it is otherwise regulated by law or ordinance.The following persons shall, according to the nature of the case, be rewarded by recording a merit in his favour or marking down his name for promotion; provided that a better reward may be petitioned for in favour of a person who has an unusually good record:
(a) A person who has always performed his func tions speedily and without fault.
(b) A person who has never neglected to see the prison or detention house well guarded.
(c) A person who manages the sale of prison products satisfactorily.
(d) A person who manages the sanitation of the prison or detention house satisfactorily so that the number of deaths is the smallest.
