When I saw you last I made a suggestion about Col. Walker, on which you were I think disposed to act. Something was said about Capt. Hozier. I know not what may be the proper instrumentality, but it appears to me that we ought if we can to obtain the fullest & most accurate accounts of the whole of the Prussian military system, both at rest & in action. Probably there are books which contain the former of these. It would be important to know them and I should
