Dame Nature, in her mild [illegible] school,
Has taught her daughters just, how to rule,
Don't think of voting for a single hour,
But through soft words at home
just vote yourself a power.
Wear the "habiliments" with soft and gentle tact
So much, the "lord" will ne'er suspect the fact,
Give love in plenty, but "obey" is sluff,
Each woman's heart knows that fact well enough.
We make the promise, because required to do,
Still all the time "we know a thing or two,"
Tall men can talk, and "lord" as they may,
The little female always gets her way.
