TEXTUAL STUDIES

1. 'Die Geschichte vom Kaputtmacher Siegfried'

Siegfried war ein Satansbraten,
tat nur immer böse Taten,
bog die Kleiderhaken krumm,
kippte Tintenfässer um,
schlug mit Beil und Schraubenschlüssel
Glas kaputt und Suppenschüssel,
stutzte Omas Wäscheleine,
riß dem Kaspar aus die Beine,
schwärzte Muttis Puderdose,

schnitt sich Löcher in die Hose.10
Nichts lieg Siegfried ungeschoren,
immer mubte er nur bohren,
klecksen, sägen, zerren, zupfen
und zerreißin und zerrupfen.

'Was soll werden? sprach der Vater.15
Doch da fand sich ein Berater!
'Siegfried', sagte Kaufmann Pelle,
'ist ein ruppiger Geselle.
Da ist nur noch eins zu machen:
20 Kauft dem Bub kaputte Sachen,
dann vergeht ihm bald das Scherzen,
und er nimmt es sich zu Herzen!'

Siegfrieds Vater war sehr froh,
und er sprach: 'Das mach ich so!'

Und die Eltern, hübsch zu zwein,25
kauften Murks far Siegfried ein.
