Helen Gurley Brown Cosmopolitan could be called a "junk food" magazine, but if so, the public has maintained an enormous appetite for it. Whether it will still be as palatable after Brown's retirement is anyone's guess, but at the moment, its popularity seems as predictable as McDonald's.
