Intelligent File Manipulator has not yet been evaluated by real users. Evaluation has been planned to be done in the near future. Users will be asked to perform certain tasks using Intelligent File Manipulator and then they will be asked to answer a questionnaire concerning the degree of help they thought they received. In addition a different group of users will be asked to perform certain tasks using a standard GUI such as Windows 95. A human expert will be watching over their shoulder. Then the remarks of the human expert will be compared to the reasoning that Intelligent File Manipulator would have produced.
