Of all human endeavors, agriculture is perhaps the most direct conversation that we have with nature. A farm is a cultural artifact of the relationship between humans and the Earth. Australian farming fits a European cultural pattern of settler colonialism with which most of us are intimately familiar, but it is also unique.
