About the Editors and Contributors
JULIE BAKKER obtained her Ph.D. at Erasmus University in Rotterdam,
The Netherlands. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in biopsychology at
Boston University. Most of her research interests to date have had to do with
the neurohormonal underpinnings of sexual behavior in rats and ferrets.
MARCIANA CROTHERS is a doctoral student in counseling psychology at
the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her main research interests are in gen-
der roles and interpersonal intimacy.
RALF W. DITTMANN holds an M.D. degree from the University of Mainz
and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Hamburg; he has also received
specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry. He teaches in the Division
of Pediatric Psychosomatics at the University of Hamburg, and he is currently a
senior clinical research physician at Eli Lilly and Company in Bad Homburg,
Germany. He has studied the effects of congenital adrenal hyperplasia and
intersexuality for more than a decade.
STANISLAW DULKO, M.D., is a psychiatrist at the Institute of Sexology
and Pathology of Interhuman Relations of the Medical Center in Warsaw,
Poland. He has published more than a hundred articles and books on
transsexuality.
