norms for Kirchner Motor Fitness Test
X denotes the raw score, while T is the scaled score. Each score represents the minimum performance to obtain the ratings "poor" through "superior." The four scores at the bottom of the norms for each age group were obtained by totaling the T-scores for each item in the test battery. For example, Billy, aged six years, obtained the following raw scores:
|Test item||Raw score (X)||T-score|
|Standing broad jump||42 inches||55|
|30-yard dash||5.4 seconds||65|
|Total = 286|
He therefore would be classified as "good" on the test battery.
