She Writ of the Earl of Rochester

Anne Wharton was distantly related to him and her own "Elegy on the Earl of Rochester" was published in Nahum Tate's Poems by Several Hands and on Several Occasions ( London, 1685). Behn's "On the Death of the Late Earl of Rochester" is included in her Miscellany ( London, 1685) and a reply to Wharton's poem, "To Mrs. W. On Her Excellent Verses (Writ in Praise of Some I had made on the Earl of Rochester) Written in a Fit of Sickness" in her Poems Upon Several Occasions ( London, 1684).
