Feminist Periodicals of the
Belle Epoque, 1890-1914
Many of these titles are extremely rare and survive only in partial sets or isolated numbers. The best sources are the Bibliothèque Marquerite Durand and the Bouglé Collection of the Bibliothèque historique de la ville de Paris. In both collections, some titles can be found only by searching dossiers on related subjects. Other important sources include the Hélène Brion Collection at the Institut français d'histoire sociale (housed at the Archives nationales), the Jane Misme Collection at the Bibliothèque du Trocadéro, and the Avril de Sainte-Croix Collection at the Musée social.
