B 9. NATIONAL DEFENCE COUNCIL

This listing is inclusive of all members of the NDC elected in January 1965 who made
public appearances or died between October 1, 1968 and January 1975. The chairman of
the NDC, Liu Shaoqi, was formally stripped of all his posts in October 1968, and the NDC
itself was abolished by the 4th NPC in January 1975. There is no record of the NDC
having met between October 1968 and January 1975.
