The original of this telegram is in "Pravda" and Izvestia, both Jan. 9, 1954. We have no Chinese translation of this telegram. The CDSP translation is presented here as it originally appeared. The telegram was addressed to the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR.

Dear Comrades!

I thank you profoundly for your congratulations on the occasion of my birthday.

Permit me to wish that the Soviet people, under the direction of the great Communist Party of the Soviet Union, will achieve new successes in the great cause of construction of communism.
