| | What sickness is it that keeps sending me kids and followers? It's your world out there that does it. I don't solicit any mail or ask anyone to come and visit me. Yet the mail continues to arrive and your pretty little flowers of innocence keep showing up at the gate. Hell, they don't know me. They only know what your world has projected and won't let go of. 71
That his evil is really ours projected through him is cheap justification for brutality and conscienceless destruction of human life and consistent with his lifelong inability to accept responsibility for his actions. It is also a damning statement. The press will always report stories about an evil man who kills by remote control, wonder how it can happen, and ask how he attracts so many damaged souls. But for all its coverage and analysis of the Manson murders, however, the press fails to report on why society produces so many damaged souls.
