aesthetic.

There are many aesthetic traditions and what this book attempts to address
in part is the African aesthetic. Philosophically and artistically, the patterns-
that-connect are also the patterns-that-construct. Therefore, one can do a
comparative analysis of the aesthetic in a Ga traditional dance and in Alvin
Ailey's modern dance work "Revelations" and discover the link. One can
listen to Run DMC, the dozens and jazz saxophonist Max Roach and establish
a connection of patterns indicative of an aesthetic that is African by definition
and tradition.
