Karl Pearson

Born in London in 1857, Karl Pearson was Scholar and Fellow
of King's College, Cambridge; Professor of Applied Mathe-
matics and Mechanics in 1884, and first Galton Professor of
National Eugenics in 1911, both appointments being in the
University of London and at University College. The first
edition of The Grammar of Science was published in 1892;
revised in 1900; and published in a final edition in 1911.
Karl Pearson died in 1936.
