RUDOLF BULTMANN

Rudolf (Karl) Bultmann was born on August 20, 1884, in
Wiefelstede, Germany. After studying at Marburg, Tübingen,
and Berlin he became a lecturer at Marburg. Professor
Bultmann has also taught at Breslau and Giessen. Among his
books available in English translation are JESUS AND THE WORD,
JESUS CHRIST AND MYTHOLOGY, THEOLOGY OF THE NEW TESTAMENT,
and PRIMITIVE CHRISTIANITY IN ITS CONTEMPORARY SETTING
