Bibliography THE most comprehensive bibliography of Sheridaniana is that which was compiled by John P. Anderson for the Life of Richard Brinsley Sheridan by Lloyd C. Sanders ( 1896), to which however considerable additions are now made. The Biographical Dictionary here cited is A Biographical Dic- tionary of the Living Authors of Great Britain and Ireland, Lon- don, Colburn (1816); according to my copy the compiler was Frederick Shoberl, who took over from William Upcott, the author of the lives under the letters A to C. 1.
