are forced to leave another group's country and choose to return to their own lands as their spiritual home--this being the place where they can exercise their rights as 'owners'.
In summary then, there are two very different attitudes to land rights: the first based on traditional Aboriginal concepts of land use and ownership, and the second based on quasi- European ideas of land tenure. And any 'land rights movement' will differ in intent and direction, according to whether one or the other attitude is given primary emphasis.
