economy is tuned through these concerns. In the area of financial
management, concerns are expected to manage their financial af-
fairs in a manner which permits timely payment of all debt-servic-
ing obligations and, in most cases, they are expected to manage
their affairs on sound commercial lines.

On the whole, the government of Botswana, through its govern-
ment concerns, manages the economy of the country on a laudable
basis, compared to many countries in the African continent.
