SASSON LEVI recently retired from active service in the Israel Defense Forces with the rank of colonel.A native of Egypt, Colonel Levi specialized in Arab affairs and served in a key capacity in the military government of Judea and Samaria.He has a B.A. in political science from Bar-Ilan University.
MORDECHAI NISAN completed his Ph.D. in international relations at McGill University and presently teaches political science in the School for Overseas Students of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His writings include Israel and the Territories: A Study in Control 1967-1977 and many articles on Middle East politics.
SHMUEL SANDLER, who earned his Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University, teaches international relations at Bar-Ilan University and is an associate of the Jerusalem Institute for Federal Studies.He has published articles on American foreign policy and on Israeli politics.Currently his Ford Foundation-supported research focuses on alternative federal solutions to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
JEHOSHUA SCHWARZ is a water resources engineer with TAHAL Consulting Engineers Ltd., Israel Water Planners, and has published several articles under their auspices.
REPHAEL VARDI served as coordinator of operations in the administered territories for the Ministry of Defense from 1974 to 1976. Holder of an M.A. in jurisprudence, General Vardi has served as comptroller of the Defense Establishment ( Israel) since 1980.
