rary society. It is not enough to be sympathetic to the patient. It is important that HIV/AIDS patients be comforted and consoled, but they and their families need more. They need to understand the disease and its components in order to be better prepared for what lies ahead.
I am pleased to say that I have known the author for well over a decade now and was honored to have been asked to write this foreword. His sincere dedication to his studies and the verity that the profits from this book will go to further AIDS education is proof positive that the author is the most genuine of researchers. The book represents the author's best effort at compiling both his personal accounts and information gathered from other sources. It will, I hope, prove illuminating for all those working in the field in the years ahead.
