- Tony Marqui of Arlington Heights, a student in DePaul University's School of Law, has made the dean's list with a 3.89 grade point average. Marqui is a graduate of St. Viator High School and earned his bachelor's degree in criminology from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis.

- Michael Porto of Arlington Heights, a freshman majoring in architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2002 term. He is the son of Joe and Terri Porto and a graduate of Hersey High School.

- Christina Lindemann, daughter of Bob and Sylvia Lindemann, Arlington Heights, was named to the dean's list at the University of Notre Dame for outstanding scholarship during the fall semester.

Lindemann, a 1999 graduate of Buffalo Grove High School, is a senior in the university's Mendoza College of Business, majoring in finance and Spanish.

- Margaurete Comes of Arlington Heights received a bachelor of arts degree with a major in Spanish studies from Dominican University, River Forest, at the Jan. 11 commencement. She is a graduate of Maine West High School.

- Victoria Lamick of Arlington Heights received a bachelor of arts degree with a major in history from Dominican University, River Forest, at the Jan. 11 commencement. She is a graduate of St. Viator High School.

- Becky Graffia of Arlington Heights, a member of the Jennies bowling team at Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, Mo., was recently honored for her efforts in the classroom as well as on the lanes. She was named to the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association Academic All-America team.

- Megan Ann Dammann of Arlington Heights has accepted membership in Golden Key International Honour Society and was individually honored during a campus ceremony at Illinois State University, Bloomington.

Golden Key is a not-for-profit, academic honors organization that provides academic recognition, leadership opportunities, community service, career networking and scholarships.

- Julia Shklovskaya of Arlington Heights, a senior at Lake Forest College, is studying abroad in Seville, Spain, for the 2003 spring semester through the APL-Center for Cross Cultural Studies, Seville, Spain program. …
