Anagha Loharikar of Naperville has been named a Fulbright Fellow for the 2003-2004 school year. A third-year medical student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, she was awarded the grant for one year of fully-funded independent research in India. Loharikar will study medical anthropology and will focus on the influences of culture, history and religion in a patient's perception of health and disease. She will also explore Ayurveda, an ancient Indian holistic system of medicine dating back some 5,000 years. Loharikar will be in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains with the indigenous people of the region. Loharikar received a bachelor's degree, high honors, with a major in exercise physiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000.

Conor Barry of Aurora was named to the dean's list as a senior for the spring semester 2003 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Barry majored in physical education with an emphasis in general physical education.

Lawrence Rhodes, son of Kim and Craig Rhodes of Aurora, received a bachelor's degree with majors in biology and pre-physical therapy from Augustana College in Rock Island.

Melissa Duckworth of Aurora was named to the dean's list as a junior for the spring semester 2003 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Duckworth is majoring in communications with an emphasis in organizational communication.

Zdravka Cankova of Aurora received the Honors Scholar medal from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. The medal recognizes high academic achievement in a minimum number of honors classes taken at the school.

Emily Gienger of Aurora was named to the dean's list as a senior for the spring semester 2003 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Gienger majored in elementary education with an emphasis in general subjects.

Elizabeth Douglas of Aurora was named to the dean's list as a junior at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Douglas is majoring in accountancy.

Emily A. Hinds, daughter of Maureen and Charles Hinds of Naperville, received a bachelor's degree with a major in psychology from Augustana College in Rock Island.

Kathleen Ginter of Aurora was named to the dean's list as a sophomore for the spring semester 2003 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Ginter is majoring in pre-physical therapy studies.

Natalie Givens of Aurora was named to the dean's list as a senior for the spring semester 2003 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Givens had an interdisciplinary major with an emphasis in early childhood studies.

David Yorke of Naperville, son of Doug Yorke, received a bachelor of science in commerce degree from DePaul University in Chicago. He previously served as student government president at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, and was chairman of the student advisory committee on the Illinois Board of Higher Education.

James Hill of Aurora was named to the dean's list as a sophomore for the spring semester 2003 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Hill is majoring in mechanical engineering.

Jane E. Schild, daughter of Janet and James Schild of Naperville, received a bachelor's degree with a major in biology from Augustana College in Rock Island.

Jeffrey Schumaker of Aurora was named to the dean's list as a senior for the spring semester 2003 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Schumaker majored in accountancy.
