Andrew Lundin earned some "major" praise from his coach after he fired a 74 at Emerald Hill in Dixon, where the College of Lake County men's golf team finished sixth out of 12 teams in the Sauk Valley-hosted Skyhawk Invitational on Tuesday.

"He reminds me of Tom Watson at a similar age, as far as his physical makeup," Lancers coach Larry Leon said, referring to the golf legend, who's won eight major championships.

"Even his swing. And his looks to a degree, too."

A freshman from Grayslake, Lundin shot his best round for CLC. The Lancers - whose 312 was 12 shots more than champion Highland - also counted Adam Placko's 75, Eric Oulehla's 79 and Alex Hofeldt's 84.

CLC resumes Skyway Conference action Thursday at the Odyssey Golf Club in Tinley Park before competing in the College of DuPage Invitational on Friday at Mistwood in Romeoville.
