Three Naperville Officers Hurt While Breaking Up Drinking Party

Four Aurora teenagers and one juvenile were arrested early Saturday after an underage drinking party in a Naperville hotel escalated into a brawl with police.

Three Naperville police officers were injured during the incident, which occurred after officers responded to a report of a loud party at 1:38 a.m. at the Red Roof Inn at 1698 W. Diehl Road. The officers were treated at Edward Hospital and released, according to a police report.

Charged with felony aggravated battery to a police officer and misdemeanor criminal trespass, unlawful possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor and resisting a peace officer were Raziel O. Rodriguez, 18, of Aurora; Jose M. Alejandre, 18, of Aurora; and Vanessa Mata, 18, of Aurora, police said.

They were processed at the Naperville Police Department and taken to the DuPage County jail.

Joel Garcia, 19, of Aurora was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass, unlawful possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor and resisting a peace officer. He was released on bond, police said. …
