I DIDN'T TURN KIDS AGAINST THEIR FATHER; Jenkins' Wife Scoffs at Alibi

THE ex-wife of the man convicted of murdering schoolgirl Billie-Jo Jenkins yesterday denied turning their children against him.

Sion Jenkins, 46, claims he was deprived of a fair trial because former wife Lois brainwashed daughters Annie and Lottie about what happened.

His lawyers say they had wanted to call the girls, then aged 12 and 10, as witnesses because they had given police statements which supported his defence.

However, by the time the case came to court, the girls had changed their stories and were never called.

Yesterday, Mrs Jenkins faced her ex-husband, 46, across the Appeal Court in London as she gave evidence against him.

She claimed she had hardly even discussed 13-year-old Billie-Jo's murder with the girls before Jenkins' trial in 1998.

She said their lives were turned upside down, living first with neighbours and then moving back to their own home.

She added: 'I was absolutely itching to ask them questions but I never asked the girls a question in that first year and hardly ever since. …
