A COVENTRY man has been ordered to serve 12 months' community rehabilitation for offences including obstructing a police constable in the execution of his duty.

Darren Scott Waring, aged 34, of Randle Street, Radford, was also charged with driving while disqualified and using a vehicle without insurance.

City magistrates also ordered Waring to serve 60 hours' community punishment and banned him from driving for two years.

Other cases dealt with by city magistrates on January 24 included:

Harjeet Singh Dogra, aged 25, of Foleshill Road, Foleshill, Coventry, failing to comply with a community punishment order and conduct causing a breach of the peace, fined pounds 100, community punishment order to continue and bound over to keep the peace for six months.

Anthony Gordon Houston, aged 29, of Manor Estate, Wolston, failing to produce a licence, a certificate of insurance and test certificate, using a vehicle without insurance and without a test certificate, fined pounds 175 and banned from driving for one year under the totting up provisions.

Marion Mary Mahendran, aged 19, of Field March, Willenhall, Coventry, taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, using a vehicle without insurance and driving with an incorrect licence, community punishment order for 150 hours and ordered to pay compensation of pounds 400.

Mohammed Shoaib Tahir, aged 21, of Keppel Street, Hillfields, Coventry, behaving in a manner whereby a breach of the peace was occasioned, bound over to keep the peace for six months.

Dariush Ghaedi, aged 23, of St George's Road, Lower Stoke, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence and failing to produce a licence, fined pounds 50.

Lee Peter Binning, aged 19, of Peterlee Walk, Walsgrave, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence, using a vehicle without insurance and failing to produce a certificate of insurance, fined pounds 325.

David James Duffy, aged 24, of Radnor Walk, Walsgrave, Coventry, one charge of failing to provide a specimen or specimens of breath for analysis and two charges of failing to surrender to custody, fined pounds 375 and banned from driving for three years under the totting up provisions.

Munyaradzi Mbizi, aged 22, of Marnhull Close, Walsgrave, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence and using a vehicle without insurance, fined pounds 200 and banned from driving for one year under totting up provisions. …
