MICKY ADAMS is on the verge of making four new signings to his Coventry City squad.

A centre-half remains his priority but the Sky Blues boss says he is looking to strengthen all three areas of his team.

He has three loan options available but one or more of the deals on the table will be permanent signings if he can engineer the moves on free transfers.

"I don't think it is right for me to talk about individual players but certainly we are very close to adding to the squad," said the City boss who is trying to get at least one in time to face Burnley at Highfield Road tomorrow.

"I wouldn't say I am hopeful of doing anything before the weekend and I am getting slightly frustrated, but we have got four things on the go and they are all but agreed.

"For whatever reason the clubs we are dealing with are holding on to them until they can find replacements. Some clubs have got their own timescales and agendas and we have got to be patient, unfortunately, and abide by them. …
