Advertising and media exec Manu Sandejas is a boxing buff who throws in the punches about three times a week.

When not handling the admin functions in her school, Andi HerreraBenitez would head for the beach to surf.

Sheryl Louise or Crystal (as shes known to Magic 89.9 listeners) is a multi task master whos single minded on one sport mountain climbing.

While they all have different preferences, Manu, Andi, and Crystal agree that indulging in sports is a lifestyle that even becomes more exciting with ones dream gear.

We asked them to go around the tony sports stores at The Podium, the upscale mall in the Ortigas Center, and here are their personal picks:


Whenever Andi HerreraBenitez would hear news of an impending weather disturbance, she and her boyfriend (now husband) and friends would grab their surfboards and head to the beach.

Andi, who owns and acts as administrator of the Academy of Manila School for the Talented and Gifted says that she got into surfing from her husband, who had learned the sport in Hawaii.

"Its actually quite easy to learn. When you learn to stand on the board, its thrilling. Its like walking on water."

After a round of meetings, shoots, and client calls, he takes time out to box.

"There are no distractions its just me and my gloves and the trainer," he said.

When his schedule permits, he boxes three times a week at Red Corner in Libis.
