Richard A. Powers and Susan Vonder Heide have joined the Wealth Management department of The PrivateBank and Trust Co., Chicago, a unit of PrivateBancorp Inc., with offices in Chicago, St. Charles and Winnetka. Powers, who will head investment planning and investment management services, previously served as director, investment planning and management at RSM McGladrey Inc. Vonder Heide was senior vice president, global trust services, LaSalle Bank N.A., Chicago. She will be in charge of operations, administration and compliance for the Wealth Management department.

Zanies Comedy Clubs Inc., announced the return of Bert Haas as executive vice president. Haas, who had managed Zanies facilities in Nashville and Chicago, left Zanies five years ago to pursue other business opportunities. As vice president, he will focus on new business development and brand building, Currently Zanies has three area outlets: Chicago, Vernon Hills and St. Charles.

National Residency by Hyatt appointed Chet Phillips of St. Charles as vice president of information technology, responsible for overall management of the company's technology infrastructure and information systems departments. …
